Media Design Process
The gradual process of work at the IDAS school in South Korea with Professor David Hall.
1st day.
We try to create Projections with the help of the projector on the simplest objects from paper. We transfer the bulk shape to the 2D drawing in Photoshop for the subsequent creation of the animation.
Trying to experiment at home.
2st day.
We mix the sounds recorded by us on the weekends. And try to use new programs for
New programs: Ableton Live; Max 7; VVVV; FastStone; Syntheyes; Farps (screen recorder).
Others programs: AfterEffects; 4D Cinema
2. The second trake with sound from outside on backgound (photo take).
3. The last track is recorded purely based on sounds from outside. It turns out to write a track enough carpet and cats...
I'll take it as a rule - at least 3 experiments.
I tried to record the screen with the music but somehow it did not work.
Motion camera
Programs: AfterAffect, SynthEyes, Cinema 4D (old version - R15)
Processes: Record video (rendering in AfterAffects format: png) - export to SynthEyes. Press "Auto", Choose coordinate system - *3, and choose 3 points on the floor (for better slove). Export: Lightwave Scene. Open in Cinema 4D, groupe all points(Alt+G), delete environmental.Add Background + New materials (just color path - add first image #1.png; Editor -Animate preview). Take this materials on background and plane (Progection: frontal; Tag:cinema4d-composition. choose Composition Background. Add Sky + materials + Tag:cinema4d-composition - no seen by camera. Settings render add Global ill.
Program:Cinema 4D R20 - Tracking built into the program.
Processes:
Motion Tracker: open CinemaR20, choose work space(Layout) us: Motion Tracker, duble click (2x) on "Motion Traker Track Rewie", Add your move., go to 2D Traking - Create Auto Tracks; <Auto Track>. See on your move when points disappear and do this tap again. When all your move have enough points go to 3D Solve - Run 3D Solve. After we need to choose points for axis: Motion Traker-Contraints-Create Position, choose point where your want always create a new object. Traker-Contraints-Create Planar, choose 3 points on the floor for triangle, axis: Y, Traker-Contraints-Create Vector, choose 2 points for highness, axis:Y.

Processes: Import model in Cinema 4D, off surface, add (for axemple hair), window-tad maneger-override-lock override. Change hair settings and material hair us you want, main settings: Guides,Dinamics, hairs more count.

Import model still just choraktery - "Select Children", Choraktery-Generate polygon object, selectAll, Choraktery-Bolive. Add ball put om cloner, by abject, add chorakter in layers for object, pick chorakte on the top. Take diferent settings for cloner ( + random effector)

I experimented with abstraction in VVVV. You can record video from the program using program: Fraps.

My thoughts on the future project.
Installation with the ability to interact, interpretation of human interaction with motion sensors. A lot of movement, deformation of space. Something beautiful and magical. Perhaps staged dance.

Goal: to find one way and what really interests you, what can reflect you in the work yourself.
3t day.
Today, in the lesson, Professor inspired me, recalling what own creativity is. Very often, due to the fact that technologists bring in more and more new design ideas, it seems that there is no place for anything else and nothing can be invented. It seems to me that the problem of most of us, in my hands, when some new idea comes, later you remember that it was already ..
4th day.
Problem happens: my laptop died. I try to fix it about 4 or 5 day, but nothing good happened. So I don't have any work for presintate. But I installed windows on mac, thats my success.. But ! I have funded some individual programs for experiments.
1. Motion camera: realflow + outside video; video + outline light on objects; video about city + moving object (balls/sheep).
2. Tracking with points: face (fruits/glitch/change pixels); hands + moving objects; body + change size (circles, cube, longer, shortly).
3. 3D mapping: smoke + abstract/projection (water/fire); outline simple white objects - animation it.
4. Cinema 4D: dance people physical - different forms (3)
5. VVVV/max 7 - stop fb by moving and do layers from this; abstraction; abstraction react on voice/moving mouse; object moving reflects by phone controllers.
Ideas:
1. Board game with extra 3d real.
2. Room with projection packing pimples on the floor and wall for kicking(bursting).
3. Bracelet for dating
4. Projections for steam from vape.
5th day.
Presentation.
After the survey, it turned out that people are more interested in the most visually active elements. People want to get new bright visual emotions through a game with space.
The survey highlighted the two most popular topics out of four:
*Room with projection packing pimples on the floor and wall for kicking(bursting).
*Projections for steam from vape. (Will do in Prototype class)
6th day.
Packing pimples. «Air bubble packing tape»
3d sound bursting bubble wrap. And texture.
1. Make object on which the image of the «Air bubble packing tape » will be projected using a spotlight (transparent table or wall, touch this and it communicate). Try to make interaction with Mechanical keyboard and Mouse button (+ - connects and gives contact when you touch your finger).
2. Stylization bursting, different ways effects.
3. Think about what object will be the projection. ( an invisible elastic object behind a stretched wall, when you touch it - there is a sound and sensations of emitting pressure on the ball)4. Research 3d connect mapping!
Last goal:
model of a small room (3х) 20x20cm with false walls. 3 different options for
interacting with space.(when you touch it - there is a sound and sensations of emitting
pressure on the ball)
*As much as
possible to avoid the topic of acne, as it causes disgust in many people. my
task is for a person to get satisfaction and a pleasant feeling.
7th day.

Programs: Illustrator + After Effects.
Drow some line picture., import to After Affects, add same afects for image, add first key like image source and second key in the end on change. After Affects will calculate smooth change automatically.
I drow some line picture first for next step - shooting - moving. The most of them look like flovers, becouse simeric always look more nature.
7th day.

Put the object on which you will design and turn on the spotlight (projector), open the illustrator and draw the object on the computer while looking through the spotlight.(Tab or cntr+F - showing full scren). It is important to create a substrate exactly the size of your projected screen. in my case (1024 x 168 px).
Create a black fill object on a white background.
Open the image in the after effect with the same dimensions. layer blending mode - silhouette brightness. Open the picture you want to animate (white lines image.png with transparents) and put it under the previous layer. Add efects. Make two a bit differents video. Convert as... movi.mp4.
Make in vvvv this patch. In KeyMesh assign a button number to the keyboard. When you will press it, video1 will smooth change for video2.
Transform for FullscreenQuad will help adjust the dimensions if they are slightly different.
